Workshop

They're struggling because they're trying to teach everything at once. In this free workshop, I'll show you the exact planning framework I used to fit reading, writing, grammar, independent reading, and conferences into short class periods without feeling rushed.

Here's What Most ELA Teachers Get Wrong

Most ELA teachers aren't struggling because they lack time.

Here’s what you will learn:

Create a Class Period That Actually Fits Everything

Build a realistic ELA class structure that gives students time to read, write, think, and practice without feeling like you're rushing through five different lessons every day. When students have time to apply skills during class, you'll see stronger writing, better discussions, and fewer blank stares when it's time to work independently.

Make Independent Reading, Grammar, and Conferences Work Together

I'll show you how to layer simple routines into your instruction so students get more practice and you spend less time reinventing the wheel. As these routines build on one another, students become more confident readers and writers and less dependent on you for every next step.

Stop Teaching Every Strand Every Day

Learn how to alternate units so reading, writing, grammar, and discussion work together instead of competing for time. Students write better when they're spending weeks practicing writing, not 15 minutes every few days squeezed between everything else.

Create a School Year That Feels Manageable

Leave with a clear planning framework that helps you map out your year, prioritize what matters most, and stop feeling behind before the year even begins. You'll know exactly when and where students are practicing key skills so growth isn't left to chance.

I'VE SEEN STUDENT ENGAGEMENT SKYROCKET.

Once I found The Hungry Teacher's Hub and joined, I've seen students' engagement skyrocket with the activities I've used. Students love them! And I've gotten part of my life back since I'm not having to create all the resources! This has saved my school school year AND my sanity. Thank you!!!

- Rachel, ELA Teacher

OH MY GOODNESS... I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH!

Pretty much everyhing I do in my classroom is The Hungry Teacher! Bell ringers, mentor sentences, novel studies, and more. My students are doing amazingly, and the admin asks how test scores are so great. It saves me time because everyhing I do in my classroom is digital and she has everything digital. Thank you so much for your creativity!!

-Christina, ELA Teacher

I LOVE THE WORKSHOPS!

I love the workshops. They just make so much sense.

IT SAVED MY SANITY

I love being a Hub member because of the amazing materials and resources. It quite literally saved my sanity not having to struggle through lesson planning! I cannot wait for spring break and summer to have more opportunities to watch workshops and better organize for next year.

- Lesa, ELA Teacher

I HAVE SEEN GROWTH!

This has been an amazing addition to my classroom and teaching! It has made my life easier and I feel has benefited my students so much! I have seen such a growth in my students and their love of reading has grown!!!

- Amber, ELA Teacher

THIS HAS SAVED ME

This is only my second year teaching, and my membership has saved me os much time in many ways. The top one is with the pacing guides. I did not have a curriculum, and I use all the Hub materials and swear by the pacing guides. Thank you for all that you do!

- Alyssa, ELA Teacher

MY STUDENTS HAVE SHOWED SO MUCH GROWTH ON THEIR EOY TESTING!

The Hub has helped me so much this year! I'm the only ELA teacher in a small private school, so I teach 5th-8th. With how many classess I teach, planning can be overwhelming. I've used the pacing guides since day one to keep myself on track. Throughout the year, I used 2 different novel studies per grade, the bell ringers, grammar units, and writing units. My kids showed so much growth on their EOY testing. There's no way I would have been able to do it all without these resources!!!

FREE LIVE Workshop for ELA Teachers

Martina!

Hello, I’m

When I moved from elementary school to middle school ELA, I went from teaching 24 students to nearly 150.

Like a lot of teachers, I spent years trying to fit reading, writing, grammar, independent reading, conferences, and everything else into class periods that never felt long enough.

What finally changed wasn't a longer class period or a better curriculum. It was a planning framework that helped all the pieces of ELA work together instead of competing for time.

It's the same framework I'll be sharing in this workshop.

Because middle school ELA is hard enough without feeling like you're behind every single day.

I can't wait to see you in class.

πŸŽ‰ Count Me In

If you want this to be the year that you finally commit to:

Finally stop feeling like you're cramming five ELA classes into one class period.

Make independent reading, mentor sentences, writing instruction, conferences, and discussion work together instead of competing for time.

Give students more opportunities to read, write, think, and talk without creating more grading for yourself.

Build routines that make book clubs, Socratic Seminars, and reading conferences easier to manage.

Spend less time wondering what to teach next and more time responding to what your students actually need.

Create a classroom where students are genuinely improving as readers and writers, not just completing assignments.
